Had a individual freshly made pizza and delicious sweet, in the restaurant with friends. They were excellent. Always enjoy visiting this pub on many occasions throughout the year. Thoroughly recommended, with the oak beam ceilings and log fire.
Quick service. Not too busy when I went. Food was okay but not memorable. Nice ambience.
Good hearty gastro pub, reasonable prices, great food but not to the detriment of the bar side. Always a favourite when Im in town, I just wish they brought back the handmade nut snacks!Definitely worth the stop, even if just for the history (though watch the beam, its a skull splitter)
We got to this place by mistake on our way to Litchfield and we are glad we did because is a lovely place with good food and friendly staff. We were served by Francesca who was very lovely and kind. So thank you. The food was very good and tasty and at the end the bill wasn't that bad so is a good place to dine and enjoy your time. We will come for sure back. Thank you
Friendly warm welcome. Lovely old Inn with open fire. Lots of outside seating in the summer. Food and service was excellent. Good range of foods on the menu. Open fire pizza oven. Highly recommend.
