It's a Premier Inn, so you know what to expect - much like going to a McDonald's in a strange place, you have an idea of what you're going to get and how it's going to be. The room was a good size, clean, tidy and well decorated. All the lights, switches and sockets worked fine, and the bathroom was clean and hygienic. It was a little unexpected that 15 minutes after checking in, that my wife was just about to get changed when another couple used their keys to get into the room, having been booked into our room as well.... Fortunately, reception got this sorted out after a bit of confusion, and moved them to another room. Still, it's a nice enough place and ok value for money. The car park is an ok size, it's next to a beefeater for evening meals and breakfast, and theres a petrol station and mini mart opposite, so it's pretty well sorted for amenities.
Premier Inn is premier Inn. Warning if you want to go via pub trans the train is a good 25 minute hike.
Stayed here for a gig in Birmingham. Stayed a couple of times now. Rooms a good size, good night's sleep and breakfast in the pub on the same complex the next morning.
You know what, this place has had some pretty bad reviews but considering the location its not that bad. Room is pretty quiet (sound proofed), heating is adequate and its about 3 degrees Celsius outside at the moment, receptionist is helpful and friendly, room is clean and bed is comfortable. I havent had a shower yet so Im hoping water pressure is good, the bathroom basin tap seems to have very poor pressure good enough to wash your hands but it takes a good amount of time to slowly fill up a small cup so Im hoping thats more the tap rather than water pressure.Review is for room 27.
It's Premier Inn so you know what you're getting. The big difference here to other Premier Inns I've stayed in is the service which was great. Particularity the staff serving breakfast on Sunday morning were brilliant. They were so attentive and personable to everyone who came in they would be a reason to stay here.
